Talents who have made world-renowned achievements in talent cultivation, research, and social services, and who are recognized as the leading figure in the field with the qualifications to take the discipline to the forefront.
Annual Salary: A base annual salary of no less than RMB 800,000 (Pre-tax, negotiable, and bonus provided).
Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 1.5-2.0 million (Pre-tax, one-time payment, excluding other rewards or funds). China Construction Bank will provide specialized service packages for house renting or purchasing.

Position: Appointment as professor and doctoral supervisor.
Research start-up fund: According to the policies for the allocation of funds under national talent projects, the professor will receive matching research funding of no more than RMB 4 million. Funds for special disciplines will be allocated according to the current needs of researches.
Work and laboratory space: To be allocated according to current needs of researches.
Numbers of postgraduate students to supervise: the quota will be directly allocated for Ph.D. candidates; M.Sc. or M.A. candidates ≥3/year.

Annual Salary: A base salary of no less than RMB 600,000 (Pre-tax, negotiable, special fund provided by the University, and bonus provided).
Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 1.2-1.5 million (Pre-tax, one-time payment, excluding other rewards or funds provided). China Construction Bank will provide a specialized service packages for house renting or purchasing.

Position: Appointment as professor and Doctoral Supervisor.
Research start-up fund: According to the policies for the allocation of funds under the national youth talent project, the professor will receive matching research funding of no more than RMB 1-3 million. Funds for special disciplines will be allocated according to current needs of researches.

(4) “EYAS” Distinguished Researchers
“Eyas” in Chinese “雏鹰”(chuying). “EYAS” is one of SWJTU’s talent programmes for young excellent scholars.
Talent who has received a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university abroad or a Chinese world-class university, with distinguished academic achievements and development potentials, and with the qualifications and competitive potential to lead the academic and technological development of the discipline. Candidates under the age of 35 and with postdoctoral research experiences are preferred.
Annual Salary: A base salary of no less than RMB 400,000 (Pre-tax, negotiable, bonus provided).
Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 500,000 (Pre-tax).
Additional benefits: children’s admission to kindergartens and schools.
Position: Appointment as distinguished researcher and doctoral supervisor for the qualified one.
Research start-up fund: RMB 1 million (Engineering, Life Science, and Medicine Category), RMB 0.5-1 million (Science Category), RMB 300,000-400,000 (Humanities and Social Sciences Category).
Work and laboratory space: To be allocated according to current needs of the research.
(5) Distinguished Associate Researchers
Talents under the age of 35 and with postdoctoral work experience are preferred.
Annual Salary: A base salary of no less than RMB 230,000-280,000 (Pre-tax, bonus provided).
Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 240,000 (provision of housing allowance of RMB 30,000/year within the first three years, and no less than RMB 150,000/person to be paid one-time after being employed as full-time teaching faculty).

Position: Appointment as assistant researcher under preliminary employment mechanism. To organize academic activities as Distinguished Associate Researcher of the University within the period of employment.
Research start-up fund: RMB 100,000 (Science and Engineering Category) and RMB 50,000 (Humanities Category).
(6) Assistant Professors
Talent who have received a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university in China or abroad, with research ability and development potential. Candidates under the age of 35 are preferred (Talents of Sports, Music and Fine Arts Categories who have received master’s degrees and under the age of 30 are also preferred).
Annual Salary: A base salary of no less than RMB 180,000 (Pre-tax, special assistance fund provided).
Housing and settling-in allowance: RMB 200,000 (With RMB 50,000 given during the first three years of appointment and the rest within three years after being employed as full-time teaching faculty).
Additional Benefits: children’s admission to kindergartens and schools.
Position: Appointment as assistant professor under preliminary employment mechanism.
Research start-up fund: RMB 100,000-120,000 (Science and Engineering Category) and RMB 50,000-60,000 (Humanities and Social Sciences Category).
(7) Full-time Postdoctoral Fellows
Talent who is of moral integrity and excels in academic research, with a strong research competence and competitive potential. Candidates who have received doctoral degrees within a year and are under the age of 32 are preferred.
Annual Salary: Base salaries of no less than RMB 300,000 (Pre-tax, Engineering Category), RMB 250,000 (Pre-tax, Science Category), and RMB 200,000 (Pre-tax, Humanities and Social Sciences Category) for 3 years.
Housing: Provision of a postdoctoral apartment or housing allowance.
Research start-up fund: China Post-doctoral Science Funds and funds provided by SWJTU in accordance with relevant policies.
